Traffic Control Technician

Description:

A Traffic Control Technician will have a flagger certification.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all duties assigned by the Construction Manager, Supervisor or Foreman.
• Carry materials and supplies from trucks to job site so they are ready for installation or other tasks.
• Perform traffic control duties for side road work, intersection work, and heavy highway.
• Work with other members of the flagging crew and Uniformed Traffic Officers’s.
• Able to get along with the general public.
• Set up and tear down sign packages
• Perform site clean-up.

Qualifications:

• Experience on a traffic control crew preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn traffic control rules and regulations.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
• Workers must be punctual and reliable.
• Ability to get along with co-workers.
