S.D. Ireland signs contract to construct & deliver precast bridge deck and sidewalk panels for the new Champlain Bridge.
Flat Iron Construction Corporation of Firestone, Colorado has awarded a contract to S.D. Ireland to construct and deliver all the precast concrete deck and sidewalk panels for the 2200 foot long Champlain Bridge that spans Lake Champlain between Crown Point, New York and Addison, Vermont. The new two lane steel arch design replaces the structurally deficient two lane bridge that was demolished in December 2009.
