Charitable Funds
Cancer Research Fund
Since 2000, the S.D. Ireland Cancer Research Fund has raised over $12 million to support cancer research and help local families. Our commitment is personal and ongoing, with fundraising events and awareness campaigns held year-round. The iconic pink mixer in our fleet serves as a rolling symbol of hope, making appearances at community events and inspiring support across Vermont.
St. Patrick's Day Parade
Join the vibrant community as we all come together for a truly unique and spirited event – the S.D. Ireland Concrete Mixer Parade. This eagerly anticipated annual event happens every Saint Patrick’s Day bringing together neighbors, friends and families for a joyous procession through the streets.
Winter Lights on the Trucks
A beloved Vermont tradition, our holiday concrete mixers light up the winter with over 25,000 Christmas lights each. Every Christmas season, our festively decorated trucks tour Chittenden County and beyond, bringing cheer to as many neighborhoods and events as we can. The sight of our glowing mixers-especially the vibrant pink one-has become a symbol of hope and joy for families across the region. How do we even deck the trucks with that many lights? “It’s Christmas magic,” Kim Ireland says.

Touch-a-Truck
We love getting involved in our community—especially when it means bringing big smiles to little faces! Our Touch-A-Truck events are a fun and interactive way for kids (and adults!) to explore our concrete mixers, construction trucks, and more.
